Background of Program

Nursing is a dynamic field that offers numerous benefits and chances for career
progression to those dedicated to lifelong learning. Nurses of today are required to
grasp a body of knowledge that is getting more sophisticated and to develop clinical
skills. Therefore, they can deliver services that are both effective at saving lives and
maintaining health. Currently, Nursing worldwide is using research findings in
rendering nursing care to clients which enhance patient care, safety, and outcomes.
Therefore, Master of nursing program at UCMI is applying the knowledge of EBP in
conducting clinical research.


The Master of Nursing program is designed for aspiring nursing professionals who
seek to advance their careers and expertise in the dynamic field of healthcare. This
comprehensive program offers a transformative learning experience that combines
advanced theoretical knowledge with practical skills in the nursing profession.

Admission Requirements

For Malaysian Candidate
● A Bachelor’s in Nursing with minimum CGPA 2.76
● At least 2 years working experience in relevant field
● Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board.
● English Language requirement – MUET band 3, or IELTS 5.5/TOEFL
514/215/80/Credit in English (SPM) or STPM.


For International Candidate
• A Bachelor’s in Nursing from any accredited Institution of higher learning or
accepted by Senate
• English Language requirement – IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 410-413/
