Background of Program

Human Resource Management programme is concerned with people management processes, techniques, issues and challenges in organisation. This program encompasses a comprehensive set of functions such as introduction to human resource management, job analysis, recruitment, interviewing, training, designing performance appraisal and managing careers which are necessary in order to develop employees who are motivated, effective, innovative and professional.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO     Description
PEO 1
To produce students that are knowledgeable and understanding required by the field of accounting, business, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, economics, information technology and human resources. Business objectives

To expose students with a sounds skill to assist them in making critical and analytical decisions in the managing organizations to achieve strategic

PLO     Description
PLO 1
Prepare graduates with the conceptual understanding and fundamental knowledge of business administration and human resource management to support organizational strategy.
PLO 2
Use communication skills and develop self-leadership strategies to enhance personal effectiveness on human resources related problems at work, and perform effectively as a team member and leader, encouraging and utilising others’ contributions.
PLO 3
Demonstrate ethical behaviour and enhance professional effectiveness to evaluate the dynamicity of the global business environment from a competitive and economic perspective and their implications on human resource management.
PLO 4
Synthesize knowledge from business and related disciplines in the acquisition of business knowledge, competencies and values for professional practices.

Use creative, critical and reflective thinking to address organizational opportunities and challenges in human resource management and apply problem solving and decision-making frameworks.

Apply professional knowledge and experience in seeking business solution toward goal accomplishment.

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C(GP2.00) in general subject and Grade C(GP2.00) in any 2 subject; AND Credit in Malay Language at SPM Level;

OR

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Grade Jayyid; and Credit in Malay Language at SPM Level;

OR

Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA of 2.00;

OR

A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00;

OR

An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00;

OR

A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval***;

A Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval***; Note for (vi) & (vii): The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme. Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
